Boil Water Situations

When the pressure in the water system drops below 20 psi, the Water Company is required to issue a Boil Water Notice. If this notice is put into effect, you must boil water before drinking it or drink bottled water.

DO NOT DRINK THE WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST. Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one (1) minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking and food preparation until further the notice is lifted by the California Department of Health Services. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.
